OUR POSITION
The bones of the foot are largely cartilage well into the teenage years. That's why we build every shoe on the same four principles — and why we don't sell anything that breaks them.
01
Heel and toe at exactly the same height, so the foot lands naturally with every step.
02
Toes can splay freely — that builds balance and stronger arches.
03
If the shoe won't roll up, we don't sell it. The foot should do the work.
04
A healthy child's arch is built by being used — not by being held up.
WINTER
Boots that hold the heat and keep the slush out — without making the step stiff.
SUMMER
Sandals, swim and sunglasses — light enough to forget they're on.
FIT
The most common cause of foot trouble in children isn't the wrong kind of shoe — it's the wrong size. Children rarely say anything, because toes would sooner curl than hurt.
Feet swell over the course of the day.
The foot gets longer under load.
Growing room — not carelessness.
Always work from the larger foot.
